When looking at a team- take several things into consideration.
1. What accomplishments has the team had in recent years? Do your homework. Be sure that your team is successful at all levels of swimming and not just in one or two areas. Your daughter will grown with the sport and be sure the team you select can support that growth.
2. What is the team's retention rate? Do their swimmers stay on the team or do they leave after short periods of time?
3. What is the swimmer/coach ratio? Coaches cannot truly focus on 12 eight year old girls at one time.
4. What accomplishments has your caoch had? It is hard to coach at a national level if you have never swam at that level.
Do your homework. Talk to parents on the team- Talk to the coaches-
