Coaching resources

What are the best resources for a new synchro coach?  Books, videos, coaching clinics, etc?

I think for teaching figures, you would better have a pre-study over the Fina Hand Book and watching Figures videos simultaneously.

But for training Routines watching more videos resulting in better coaching.

I would register with USA Synchro.  Begin the new coaches training online.  Find out who is the head of your association.  I think you might be in the PNA Assoc (Pacific Northwest Association) I would also recommend attending a meet where other coaches and judges are present and they can possibly set up a Level I judges training class for you to take.

I am also available for questions anytime.  I was a swimmer for 11 years and currently run a club in SW Florida.  I have a passion for helping new coaches get started with the correct knowledge base.

Contact me anytime on this forum or via email at sunshinesynchrosplash@gmail.com

BTW...  I swam for Tacoma Synchronized Swim Club for 10 of my 11 years.  I visit the NW at least once a year.
