When I started
I started swimming when I was born basically but I only started competing when i was 16 so that's why all my times suck lol but I really loved it and miss it a lot and want to start competing again.
How I started
We didn't have a swim team for a few years and when I was younger my mom would let me join because I always quit everything and competing isn't cheap. So when I started my lifeguard and swim instructor training the swim team started up again and my mom finally let me join to keep my swimming up and then I was hooked.
Why I love it
I love swimming. It's always been a big part of my life. I used to get my mom to show me how to do flip turns in my grandparents 15m pool. I learned all my swimming skills in that pool. Anyway, I just love water I feel like everything is right when I'm in the pool. I love everything: competing, synchro, waterpolo, teaching, wakeboarding, and watching water sports like diving
How I stay motivated
I don't need much motivation to enjoy competing or to have the urge to succeed, I'm a very competitive person. But the thing that motivates me the most is knowing that my team and coach will always be there to push me harder and push me to my limits. I need people to motivate me...to feel the competition. :)
Accomplishments
Club Records in short course 50m, 100m, 200m, 400m, and 800m Freestyle; 50m backstroke; and 50m, 100m Fly.
I hope to someday soon get back into the pool and break all my best times. That would be the best accomplishment I think. Once I do that I want to start competing seriously again.
